Are you a highly motivated, creative video editor who wants to be part of an international design team? Can you edit and finalize video and motion graphics from start to finish? Are you a storyteller? Do you want your work to contribute to positive social change? MangoMundo LLC is looking for a video editing intern to work primarily with concert footage, interviews, and small promotional content.

 

Internship Description

The video editor intern will work closely with the creative team in a collaborative environment.  Along with strong story-telling, we are looking for a full-capacity editor who can log and transfer footage (including clip labeling and ciip organization and transcoding: typically raw footage is coming from DSLR or entry level professional HD cameras, no beta tapes, film, or digi-cinema cameras), edit by creating assembly cuts and final cuts, sound edit by working with audio files (either spoken word or music) to perform basic sound mixing for final cuts, create effects (provide basic color grading and simple animations), manage and inventory video files, and deliver videos that are properly formatted for final web deployment.

 

Requirements

Interested candidates must be passionate, talented, self-motivated, organized, dedicated, professional, personable, team-oriented, and most importantly, reliable. Professional experience is not a requirement, but it is a plus. Candidates must be fluent with Final Cut 7. Additional experience with After Effects/Motion, Sound Track Pro, Color, and Compressor is preferred. An ideal candidate has a portfolio to review and will intern for academic credit. A high intermediate-advanced level of English is a plus.

Terms & Conditions

Interns should expect to work 10-15 hours per week.

As part of our dedication to social responsibility, all interns are also required to dedicate a portion of their internship hours to Fundacion MangoMundo, a nonprofit organization (and MangoMundo LLC affiliate) dedicated to funding arts education in Nicaragua.
